UNLOCKING MYSTERY
Mysteries abound in life. Can anyone explain true love or do you just have to experience it to "know" it? How about black holes in space or the energy and knowledge that body cells need to have to be knitted together in order to create a human being while being inside the womb of his/her mother. Amazing. Awesome. Mysterious.
The God of the Bible is mysterious and many of His mighty acts defy nature's common laws. He created the universe just by speaking. C'mon. He is able to see the past, present, and future simutaneously. Get real. He resurrected His Son from the dead. Stranger than fiction. Yet as unbelievable as these claims seem to be, we believe that they are true because He has chosen to reveal them to us as a testimony to His Greatness that no other god can rival. He is the true and living God.
Here's another mysterious thing we believe to be true: even though we fall short, way short, of what God requires for us to be with Him eternally, He gives us His favor, which we don't deserve, because it pleases Him. Imagine that. He gives us His favor because it pleases Him!!! It is through this grace that God enters into our lives to secure our future with Him despite the fact that most of the things we do in our lives do not please Him. What love! What grace! What mystery!
